Durty Nellie's 'Future Stars' ushers in next generation of entertainers

Area residents are invited to attend the first Durty Nellie's Future Stars event from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, on the main stage at the popular entertainment venue, 180 N. Smith St. in downtown Palatine.

Entertainment for this family-friendly event will feature Roselle-based bands The Voo Doo Dolls, who will headline, and Kung Fu Sleepover from Schaumburg as the opening act.

Going forward, Durty Nellie's Future Stars will be held monthly on the fourth Sunday of each month from 4 to 7 p.m. Young people up to the age of 18 are invited to submit their demos to info@durtynellies.com to be considered to perform.

"We are thrilled to host this event that provides a venue for young entertainers who could be the stars of tomorrow, and potentially part of the next generation of performers at Durty Nellie's," said Durty Nellie's owner Jimmy Dolezal.

"Future Stars is a place for the whole family to enjoy time together while local, young people share their musical talents on stage."

For nearly 50 years, Durty Nellie's has been a music and entertainment destination and venue for national and local acts.
