Hanover Township, Streamwood Park District to to host basketball tourney for teens

The Hanover Township Department of Youth and Family Services is partnering with the Streamwood Park District to host a free, six-week basketball tournament for high school youth.

Running Mondays, Oct. 18 to Nov. 22, games will tip off at the Streamwood Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd., Streamwood.

Teams of five can register at www.hanover-township.org.

"This is a great opportunity for older teens to participate in a fun, competitive program with youth across the township," said Ryan Dickinson, Hanover Township Prevention Services manager.

"Working with the park district also allows us to continue to grow our evening programs to keep teens connected to the community."
