Free webinar: Estate planning for cancer patients and their families

Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) cancer care services will host a virtual session for those with cancer and their loved ones regarding estate planning. This free event includes live Q & A and will be held virtually from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Whether you are considering preparing an estate plan for the first time, or updating an existing plan, this presentation will provide important information. Having a Power of Attorney (POA) for health care and property, a simple will, and if appropriate, using a revocable living trust can make a world of difference for you and your family.

This presentation will include the basics about what an estate plan is, when and why someone should update their estate plan and steps to take to have legal and financial affairs in order.

Presenter Mildred "Millie" V. Palmer, attorney at law, is dedicated to helping individuals prepare for the unexpected and to make their wishes known in disability and death. Millie practices locally and is as a member of the District 214 School board of education and of the Arlington Heights Rotary, Noon Club.

The event is free, but registration is required to receive the login information. Please RSVP to Vanessa Grazian at vgrazian@nch.org or by phone at (847) 618-6660.

Questions may be submitted in advance to vgrazian@nch.org or included in the chat box feature during the live event.
