Streamwood Knights of Columbus Holding 8th Annual 5K October 2
Eight years ago, Mary's Millennium Council #12801 Knights of Columbus, St. John the Evangelist Church, Streamwood IL, was looking for a creative way to increase their yearly assistance to the Hanover Township Food Pantry. We created an annual 5k event to raise funds for them.
Final preparations are underway for the eighth annual Knights Challenge 5K Run/Walk which will be held October 2, 2021, starting at 7:15 AM. The event, sponsored by the Knights and Ladies Auxiliary in conjunction with St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish, located at 502 S. Park Blvd., Streamwood, benefits the Hanover Township Food Pantry. The racecourse is USATF certified #IL-14131-JW.
Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female winners in each five-year age category. In addition, the overall male and female winners will also receive special awards. A race T-shirt will be given to all pre-registered participants.
