Knights of Columbus to host St. Michael benefit dinner Sept. 11 in Huntley

The first-ever St. Michael Benefit Dinner, supporting organizations that provide help to first responders and uniformed military personnel in need, will be held Saturday, Sept. 11 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road in Huntley.

The dinner is sponsored by St. Mary's Knights of Columbus chapter.

Tickets are $20 each. Tables of eight with guaranteed seating together are available for $160.

The doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the program will start at 7 p.m.

The menu will feature Fr. John McNamara's famous meatballs, plus penne pasta, sausage and peppers, salad and bread. A gluten-free option will be available when ordering tickets.

Beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Veterans Path to Hope (formerly TLS Veterans), and the Rosecrance Florian Program.

Rosecrance provides substance abuse prevention and mental health assistance to uniformed service personnel (active duty, veterans and first responders).

Veterans Path to Hope provides housing and employment assistance, plus basic necessities, to veterans in need.
