Chicago Brass Quintet to perform noontime concert at Lords Park Aug. 2

The Lords Park Zoo in Elgin is wrapping up its summer season of outdoor lunchtime concerts at noon Monday, Aug. 2.

The prestigious Chicago Brass Quintet will perform a free, family-friendly program featuring the elegant sounds of brass.

The concert will feature "Music From the Americas," performing music of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru.

Bring a blanket or some chairs and a picnic and enjoy great music in the lovely setting of Lords Park, off Grand Boulevard.

Located in Lords Park on Elgin's east side, the outdoor fenced areas are home to bison, elk and white tail deer. These animals can be seen all year long. Other animals may include pigs, calves, sheep, donkeys, ponies and turkeys. For details on programs, go to www.cityofelgin.org/zoo.
