The Center of Concern's Teen Board is hosting a car wash fundraiser event on Saturday, August 14, 2021. The event will take place at the Center of Concern, located at 1665 Elk Boulevard in Des Plaines, and car washes will be available for $5. All proceeds will benefit the Center of Concern's programs and services.
The agency's Teen Board provides civic-minded youth ages 13 to 18 with the ability to gain leadership skills and fundraising experience by joining together with other like-minded individuals to plan, organize, and participate in opportunities to serve their community.
"The thoughtfulness and commitment of these young adults is truly inspiring. We are proud and grateful for their wonderful efforts," said John McNabola, executive director of the Center of Concern.
Through housing, community, and older adult services, the Center of Concern serves local residents with a variety of programs designed to assist individuals and families with challenges related to aging, homelessness, and accessing resources to remain independent in their homes.
