'Phase Fun' has begun at Mundelein Park District

Submitted by the Mundelein Park & Recreation District

The Mundelein Park & Recreation District has entered "Phase Fun."

While restrictions are lifting in Illinois under Phase 5, the district has launched its "Phase Fun" campaign through July 26 to thank the Mundelein community and park district patrons for their support. "Phase Fun" includes a free drawing for a variety of prizes, including:

• A Day at the Bay: four day-passes to Barefoot Bay

• A free 3-month pass to Fitness Center

• A free 1-year pass to Fitness Center

• A free indoor birthday party

• A free "Porch Party" balloon arrangement

• A free, 4-hour room rental at Regent Center

• A free session of swimming lessons

• Five $100 Mundelein Park & Recreation District Gift cards

• Grand Prizes: A kayak, courtesy of Sam's Club of Vernon Hills, and a Stand-Up Paddle Board, courtesy of REI of Vernon Hills.

Participants must be ages 18 or older. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. You can enter as many times as you like, but there is a limit of one prize per household. The entry drum will be at park district events, in the Mundelein Community Center lobby and occasionally at Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center, Diamond Lake Beach and Regent Center.

Entries can be submitted wherever the drum is and locations will be announced in advance.

A drawing will be held every Monday in July, with the Grand Prizes drawn July 26. All winners will be contacted by phone or email. It is not necessary to be present to win.

"We will be moving the entry drum to many of our locations and special events to reach the people we want to thank," said "Phase Fun" creator and park district Marketing Manager Christa Lawrence.

"We will be holding the drawings live on Facebook at 11 a.m. on Funday/Mondays in July, so tune in and follow us at @mundeleinparks."

Staff is also sporadically giving away "Phase Fun" Scratch-offs, with every card a winner. Prizes include: free popcorn at Barefoot Bay, free soda at Barefoot Bay, a free day pass at Barefoot Bay, free paddle boat rental at Diamond Lake Beach, a free day pass at Diamond Lake Beach, $10 off a birthday party, free day pass at the Fitness Center, Barefoot Bay daily admission BOGO, and a $5 discount on swim lessons.

"We wanted to thank the community for sticking with us during tough times during the height of COVID. Now that restrictions have loosened in Phase 5, we want to welcome everyone back to enjoy 'Phase Fun,'" said Ron Salski, Mundelein Park & Recreation District's executive director.
