One-shot COVID-19 vaccine clinic comes to Gail Borden June 19

On Saturday, June 19, the Elgin Area Pandemic Team and Gail Borden Public Library are inviting people to both get a "one and done" J & J vaccine and learn more about Juneteenth.

Also, in honor of Roll N Donuts opening at the Main Library, the first 200 people will receive a free doughnut.

In partnership with Walgreens, the vaccine clinic is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the Main Library, 270 N. Grove, Elgin. People may register beforehand or just walk in.

Attendees will not only receive a vaccine but also information about where to find Juneteenth materials at the library.

The Elgin Area Pandemic Team stands ready to help people who have been impacted by COVID-19 - vaccine signup, rental, food, utility needs and more. People may call (224) 765-7370, weekdays, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
