Streamwood Park District teams with RUSH Physical Therapy

The Streamwood Park District has partnered with RUSH Physical Therapy. Park Place Family Recreation Center will now be called "Park Place Family Recreation Center in Partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy."

With the five-year partnership, the room once held by Advocate Health for years at Park Place Family Recreation Center will now be home to RUSH Physical Therapy, which will bring professional rehabilitation services to the Streamwood community at a more centrally-located facility.

The renovations to the space will be complete by the end of June. The partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy gives the Streamwood Park District and Park Place Family Recreation Center an added level of credibility to the health and wellness of the Streamwood community.

Residents will now have access to a physical therapy provider with the proven pedigree and prestige of Rush University System for Health.

Some specialties unique to RUSH Physical Therapy's facility include aquatic therapy, personalized blood flow restriction, cupping, dry needling, hands-on therapy techniques, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, sports medicine, concussion rehabilitation, video analyses, pre-and post-rehabilitation, WorkStrategies® Program and much more.

"RUSH will be a great partner for the park district. They will sponsor events such as races, as well as major special events. They will be involved with community members and users of the facility, and will provide seminars and lectures pertaining to various health care topics," said Steve Muenz, superintendent of Recreation, Streamwood Park District.

"RUSH Physical Therapy may discuss exercise training with members on occasion, which will better allow those members to incorporate new details into their workouts."

RUSH Physical Therapy center manager Jacob Livingston said, "We are excited to partner with the Streamwood Park District and offer outpatient physical therapy services to the community. We provide a wide range of specialties and are truly looking forward to helping those in need.

"We are committed to providing each person an exceptional experience that promotes healing and recovery in a safe, compassionate environment."
