Midwest Pond & Koi Society's annual tour returns in July

For the 31st year, the Midwest Pond & Koi Society invites you to visit member's gardens and ponds. They are opening their backyards to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, July 17-18 and July 24-25.

The Garden and Pond Tour is divided into regions to help minimize the travel time and increase your enjoyment of leisurely visiting the gardens and ponds. The Tour is self-guided, so you may pick and choose to visit one or all of the many beautiful gardens and ponds listed.

The garden and pond tour maps are available for purchase at the vendors listed at mpks.org. Cost is $20 per family and allows you to tour all four days. Pond tour maps also may be purchased directly from the Midwest Pond & Koi Society by calling (312) 409-2081.

The North/Northwest gardens open on Saturday, July 17, will be located in Waukegan, Chicago, Glenview, Kildeer, Elgin, West Dundee, Arlington Heights, Roselle, and Streamwood.
