The MolinaCares Accord donates $10,000 to Camp Kesem

The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Illinois in Oak Brook, donated $10,000 to Kesem in support of its flagship program, Camp Kesem, which provides free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent struggling with cancer.

The donation will go toward creating 400 art kits for kids attending summer camps throughout Illinois.

"Kesem appreciates the MolinaCares Accord's generous donation," said Richard Segal, chief executive officer of Kesem. "With this grant, we have additional resources to provide youth with free summer programs and leave a lasting and positive impact on children whose families have been affected by cancer."

Kesem runs over 140 weeks of fun, action-packed events from coast-to-coast every summer. Serving children ages six to 18, these camps offer kids a warm and loving environment where they can be with other children who have similar life experiences. This sense of community helps kids improve their communication skills, grow in confidence and gain a more positive outlook on life.

Kesem, 501(c)(3) organization, is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer. By offering creative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community, Kesem aims to ensure that every child impacted by a parent's cancer is never alone.
