Teens ages 12-19 can engage in Tech Bytes at Schaumburg Township District Library

Teens ages 12-19 can engage in Tech Bytes at Schaumburg Township District Library, with one-hour sessions that include discovering how video games are created, competing in online games, and learning web and app development. To participate, teens must register at SchaumburgLibrary.org to receive the Zoom link. The following programs will take place in June and July.

"Tech Bytes: Video Game Hour" will be held from 1-2 p.m., Thursdays, June 3-July 1. Participants will see how the games were developed before engaging in an online gaming competition.

"Tech Bytes: Web Development Bell Day" is scheduled from 1-2 p.m., Mondays, June 7- July 5. Students will go through the thought process and actual code in order to solve tasks with a web interface.

"Tech Bytes: MIT App Inventor" will take place from 1-2 p.m., Tuesdays, June 8-July 6. Sessions will feature ways to make Android apps. Participating teens will code in block-code and combine their skills with the MIT App Inventor. No experience is necessary.

"Tech Bytes: Web Project Development" will be held from 1-2 p.m., Wednesdays, June 9-July 7. Students will learn how to create web projects using the languages of JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Every Wednesday, they will create new text-based and visual-based projects by applying coding skills acquired during the sessions. No experience is required.
