Tee It Up for the HEParks Foundation youth Scholarship fund

On Wednesday, June 2, golfers have the opportunity to tee off at the Scott R. Triphahn Golf Outing and help raise funds for a great cause. Golfers will team up for their round at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club, 1400 Poplar Creek Drive in Hoffman Estates, during The Friends of HEParks Foundation annual event.

This event registration/lunch begins at 11:30 am with check-in, driving range and warm-up, followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The event is title sponsored by WT Group.

Founded in 1998, the Friends of HEParks Foundation works to generate and distribute resources to families so they can participate in the Hoffman Estates Park District programs and activities. The ultimate mission is to enhance the physical, recreational, educational and cultural life of the Hoffman Estates community, regardless of social, physical or economic circumstances & limitations. This 501(c) (3) organization has awarded more than $150,000 in scholarships to more than 450 community families since the start of the scholarship program in 2004. Scholarship recipients are local residents who would otherwise be financially unable to participate in available programming.

Named after a former HEParks commissioner instrumental in establishing the foundation, the Scott R. Triphahn Golf Outing allows participants the chance to spend their day as part of a fun, networking scramble. In 2021, golfers will have an opportunity to win $10,000 for a hole in one on Hole #4, multiple hole contests prizes and more. The event also features a raffle.

Three ticket packages are available for purchase. All registration fees include green/cart fees, tee gift, lunch and complimentary beverage cart service on course, hole in one contests and more. The Eagle Package, $550 ($600 value) includes a Team Yardstick, (4) Mulligans, (4) Beat the Pro Entries, (4) Putting Contest Entries, and 40 Raffle Tickets for your group. The Foursome Package is $500. Individual tickets are $125 per golfer. Tickets may be purchased online at heparks.org/event/srt2021or by visiting one of the district's facilities. Sponsorships are also available.
