Incredible entertainment is brought to Lake Forest this summer with acts that include local bands, illusionists, and award-winning musicians

(Lake Forest, IL) Gortonpalooza kicks off Gorton Community Center's third outside entertainment series on June 16, 2021 with three talented local high school bands - Looking for Jane, Verdant and FLAME. These young musicians are skilled beyond their years and draw a crowd of music lovers big enough to impress seasoned performers.

Then the magic really starts on June 19 with national celebrity magician and illusionist Mike Super. Star of America's Got Talent and winner of NBC's Phenomenon, magician Mike Super stuns audiences with his spectacular illusions. Mike Super is the only magician in history to win a live magic competition on Primetime Network Television. Experience a journey of emotions ranging from laughter and intrigue to danger, fear, wonder, anticipation, and even tears as Mike draws you in and weaves you into the fabric of his show.

"Thank you Gorton for providing so much programming during the past year. You have been innovative and creative," says Lake Forest resident Gretchen Athas. "My family has loved the storytelling events and the baking classes and we look forward to all the outdoor summer programming they are doing to allow people to be entertained in a way that makes them feel safe by being outside."

Other events to look forward to this summer at Gorton include: Ghost of Paul Revere, Farewell Angelina and the Okee Dokee Brothers, as well as the return of our outdoor movie series. For more information on these and other events, please visit: https://gortoncenter.org/events/
