Kiwanis Kommunity Garden Fundraiser and Plant Sale

The Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst/the Lakes will be uncovering their Kommunity Garden and unveiling their new sign on Saturday, April 24 from 10:00 a.m until 2:00 p.m. in honor of Earth Day.

The Kommunity Garden provides fresh produce throughout the growing season to the Lake Villa Township food pantry. In the past, the Kiwanis Club has donated over 500 pounds of fresh produce to the food pantry per year. This year the Club hopes to increase that amount and has 2 new beds to meet the needs of the community.

During the event, raffles, sponsorship opportunities and snacks will be available to help the Club raise funds for the garden. Volunteers can help fill the beds and clean up the park.

Garden bed sponsorships are available for $150.00 or purchase a Harvest Sponsorship for $50.00.

Allendale will have plants available for sale.
