Geneva church offers outdoor worship at Fabyan Forest Preserve

The United Methodist Church of Geneva has added outdoor worship to online services.

The outdoor worship will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at Fabyan Forest Preserve, 1925 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva. On April 18 and 25, worship will be at Shelter No. 4, followed by Shelter No. 1 in May.

Attendance is limited to 50 people, including pastors, musicians, and ushers. Advance online registration and safety protocols are required..

The registration form is available on the church website under the Sign-Ups menu at genevaumc.org. Registration opens Wednesdays and closes when full or at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Follow protocols, including wearing mask and follow social distancing at all times, including walking to and from parking, even if you have been vaccinated. Please bring your own chair or blanket for seating. The pastor and music director will give any additional directions as needed.

No offering will be taken at outdoor worship so consider giving online. To give during the service, use the Elexio app or text (630) 686-7120.

A text and email will be sent out the morning of the service if it is canceled due to inclement weather.
