Celebrate a world of flavors with Bloomingdale's Restaurant Week April 9-18

Bloomingdale has a world of diverse culinary flavors including Italian, Mexican, American, African, Indian, Australian, Vietnamese and more.

On April 9-18, Bloomingdale will be celebrating the restaurants who bring us these many tastes.

Restaurant Week is unlike any other where participating restaurants from formal restaurants to quick service eateries will have special menus and offers to entice the public to visit.

This is the week to patronize new places and try new dishes.

While doing so every dollar spent can add up to chances to win a grand prize of gift cards and certificates donated by the participating restaurants with a value over $400.

Your support helps these local businesses succeed and continue to give back to the community, and employ local residents. Please dine out often during this week and show your support for our local businesses.

Restaurant owners and managers are excited for this event. The timing is works as spring comes into season, more people have been vaccinated and are coming out. You do not have to dine-in the restaurant to participate, carryout options are also available.

Chris Karountzos, general manager of Anyway's American Grill and Pub, said "With the restrictions being lifted, it's definitely lifted a weight off our shoulders. Restaurant Week will give us an opportunity to showcase our menu and restaurant to potential new guests as well get our regular guests excited about new items we may feature. Partnering with the chamber and our sponsors means so much to us, and hopefully this will give all the restaurants in the area a much-needed boost going into the spring/summer months."

It is no secret restaurants have been hit hard by the pandemic. They do not operate on high margins so having to close for such a long period last year and only being able to open at a particle capacity, they need the community's support. These are the restaurants who continue to hold fundraisers for local nonprofits, donate raffle prizes when asked and help fund the chamber's scholarship program.

For every $10 spent at participating restaurants between April 9-18, 2021 equals to a chance to win the gift card bundle. Send in a dated receipt along with the name of restaurant(s) visited with your name to Contest@BloomingdaleChamber.com.

To help promote the event via social media, there is a separate drawing to win restaurant gift cards from all those who take a selfie, post and tag the restaurant they are visiting using #BCRestaurantWeek. Random winners will be drawn to win individual gift cards. The more you dine out, the more chances you have to win.

The event sponsors for Bloomingdale Chamber Restaurant Week are TCC Wireless (TMobile), Bloomingdale Court, Pan American Bank & Trust and the Village of Bloomingdale.
