St. Viator High School's 'Night of the Lion: At Home Edition' opens Feb. 26 to March 6

St. Viator High School's key fundraising event, "Night of the Lion: At Home Edition" starts Friday, Feb. 26.

The annual fundraising and community-building celebration traditionally involves hundreds of parents, alumni, supporters, and donors gathering on campus for a night of fun and financial support. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2021 event has been transformed into a weeklong digital event, running through March 6.

Current and past parents, and graduates of St. Viator and Sacred Heart of Mary High School can participate in the Night of the Lion in a number of ways, including bidding on auction items throughout the week. The proceeds of the event will benefit the school's Tuition Assistance program, which helps ensure that a St. Viator education is accessible to everyone. That goal is especially important this year as many families have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This school year, the program has provided almost $2,000,000 in tuition assistance to 30% of the student body.

"Night of the Lion is one of the primary ways in which the school raises funds for the tuition assistance program," said Kristen Daniels, director of development. "So, we appreciate the generosity of our sponsors, donors, local businesses, and event participants who have stepped up to help us continue this impactful event despite not being able to gather in person."

"We'd also like to thank our Scholar Sponsors, including Labor Solutions, the Clerics of St. Viator, and Motor Werks Auto Group, who have helped immeasurably in making this event happen."

"Night of the Lion: At Home Edition" also included a limited-participant raffle with a grand prize option of $10,000 cash or free tuition next school year for one St. Viator student, which has already sold out.

Throughout the week, the school will release daily videos on their website and social media channels that explore the locations, experiences, and memories that make St. Viator feel like home to students, faculty, and staff.

To participate in the online auction now through March 6, visit www.saintviator.com/nol and follow St. Viator High School on Facebook and Twitter to stay up-to-date on "Night of the Lion" news.
