Anderson's 'For the Love of Animals' online auction begins Feb. 6

Anderson Animal Shelter and Fox Valley Wildlife Center are hosting a silent auction, "For the Love of Animals."

One of Anderson Humane's biggest and most important fundraisers of the year, the love-themed benefit kicked off Saturday, Feb. 6, for a weeklong silent auction featuring more than 75 items to bid on.

The items range from small home decor pieces to sailboat journeys and everything in between.

The timing of the auction and the raffles make this event a perfect opportunity to pick up special Valentine's gifts for your loved ones.

Event proceeds from online auction and donations help provide critical funding for the 4,000 homeless pets and 3,000 injured and orphaned wild animals that Anderson Animal Shelter and Fox Valley Wildlife Center care for each year.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, the evening will begin with a preshow from 5:30 to 6 p.m. followed by the virtual auction event from 6 to 7 p.m.

Participation in our online auction is free and open to all animal lovers.

Auction items include: a six-hour sail for 10 people on Lake Michigan aboard a 60-foot custom built yacht; a backyard pool bash for your child; a culinary experience in your home for eight people; golf outings at Medinah Country Club, Royal Fox Country Club or St. Charles Country Club; spa outings; jewelry; dance package with Fred Astaire Dance Studios; four tickets to a Chicago Cubs game; an introductory 20-minute flight at Blue Skies Flying Services in Lake in the Hills; themed baskets; personal portrait of your pet; and more. You also can auction to get a photo of your pet featured in the 2022 Anderson Humane calendar.
