Elmhurst Symphony to bring 'Baroque Brilliance' online starting Feb. 14

Musicians of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra are back together again making music!

You are invited to join Elmhurst Symphony members, friends and musicians for the symphony's next virtual program of the season, "Baroque Brilliance," beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.

This "Video on Demand" program will remain available for two weeks after you click through to view the program or until midnight Sunday, March 14, whichever comes first.

Tickets can be purchased now through Feb. 28.

Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop, musicians of the Elmhurst Symphony will bring you famous as well as little-known gems of the Baroque period.

The strings are showcased in German composer Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and German composer Johann Pachelbel's Canon, while oboes, trumpets, and timpani shine in thrilling works by Italian composer Antonio Caldara and French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau.

The guest artist, the brilliant violinist Jasmine Lin, joins the Elmhurst Symphony's Rika Seko and Kathleen Carter as soloists in German composer Georg Philipp Telemann's delightful Concerto for Three Violins.

Commentary from Lin, acclaimed harpsichordist David Schrader and Maestro Alltop will add to your enjoyment.

Hear and see this exciting program at a time convenient for you from the comfort of your home - a great way to brighten a winter day!

Tickets for the program are $25 and can be purchased on the ESO website, www.elmhurstsymphony.org, or by sending a check to Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra, P.O Box 345, Elmhurst, IL 60126. For more information, email elmhurstsymphonytix@gmail.com.
