Recycle your unwanted electronics Jan. 23 in Lake Zurich
Need to get rid of some laptops, computers and other electronics? Blue Star Recyclers will be collecting at Casper True Value Hardware, 100 S. Old Rand, Lake Zurich on Saturday, Jan. 23, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Recycling fees apply for some items. For details go to www.EZelectronicsrecycling.com.
This effort is different from most local collections because it provides employment to disabled adults who disassemble the electronics and reuse the materials inside.
Recycling electronics also keeps toxins and plastics out of landfills to protect the environment.
Any electronic device is accepted, including televisions.
