The Kirk Players present 'Words of Love' Feb. 13

The Kirk Players will present "Words of Love," a free production celebrating Valentine's Day, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. They will perform selected Shakespeare sonnets and several classic and modern love poems via their YouTube channel.

"This is a very exciting project for me, because I am such a huge poetry freak and truly love Shakespeare," director Jon Leslie Lynn said. "I am so happy to share such a remarkable variety of love poems with our audience. The selections cover classic and modern, for the young and the old, a good dose of Shakespeare, and we feel everyone will enjoy the experience of having these poems brought to vivid life.

"We hope to reach a large audience of people curled up on the couch with their loved ones, under a blanket with a cool beverage, looking for ways to add romance to their Valentine's Day weekend."

While the performance is free, donations are welcome. The Kirk Players' not-for-profit mission is to enrich, educate and entertain the community by providing a superior theater experience, to give back to the community with an emphasis on the arts, and to create a safe and inclusive environment.
