Library Invites Adults to Upcoming Book Discussions
Upcoming book discussion groups for adults at the Schaumburg Township District Library are open for registration and include a variety of genres and subjects. To register for any of the following January discussions, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org and select "Events" at the top of the homepage. All of these online programs take place on Zoom. A Zoom link will be provided after registration is complete.
For those who like to discuss movies inspired by books, "Who Filmed This Book" takes place from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20. January's discussion topic is the library's One Book, One Community selection, "Room," by Emma Donoghue. The 50+ Book Discussion group will talk about this same title from 1-2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25, and there will also be a One Book, One Community discussion on Room from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26. The movie version of "Room" can be streamed on Kanopy with a Schaumburg Library card.
The library's nonfiction group, Second Floor Reads, will talk about "The Diary of a Bookseller" by Shaum Bythell, from 6:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20. Register to receive the Zoom link and a copy of the book.
