Arts in Bartlett Names 2020 'Stars'

Arts in Bartlett, 215 S. Main St., Bartlett, recently awarded its 2020 "Star Performers" Award to three individuals at its annual meeting. This annual award recognizes volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding service to the nonprofit arts council during the year.

Sandi Fortmann of Hoffman Estates shared the award with her daughter, Ashley, in conceiving and implementing two Facebook Live events to promote the Arts in Bartlett gallery and Holiday Boutique.

Sandi also made nearly 200 face masks during 2020 to sell in the gallery and kept just enough to buy more materials, donating $775 to Arts in Bartlett.

The other 2020 Star Performer was Laura Kubaszko of Bartlett, who headed the Dine-Around for the Arts Program that encourages the community to support local restaurants, who then donate a portion of the proceeds to Arts in Bartlett.

Arts in Bartlett was formed in 2002 to "build community through the arts" and offers music and art lessons and a gallery for artists and crafters to sell their work.
