Round Lake Parks bring The Grinch to you this season

The Round Lake Area Park District is ready to bring a little fun Grinchy-ness into your home this holiday season.

In past years, the Park District has hosted the popular A Night Out with the Grinch program. Due to COVID-19 regulations, the Park District is changing things up this year and offering two virtual programs to bring The Grinch to you!

In the first program, Story Time with The Grinch, families can snuggle in their pajamas, sip on some cocoa and enjoy a pre-recorded Story Time with the Grinch himself. Children can read along, or just listen as The Grinch tells the story of "How The Grinch stole Christmas." Once registered, families will be sent a private link to the recording, which they can watch whenever it is convenient for them this month. The fee is only $5 per family.

Have you always wanted to ask The Grinch a question, but never had the chance? Then Hang Out with The Grinch is just for you! Participants in this program will have a private Zoom meeting for up to three children with The Grinch. Children will be able to ask The Grinch questions and interact with him. For Hang Out with The Grinch, 10-minute timeslots are available from 3-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11. Cost is $25.
