St. Charles Parks hosts Virtual Jigsaw Puzzle Challenge for all ages

On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the St. Charles Park District partnered with the Daily Herald Media Group to host a Virtual Jigsaw Puzzle Challenge.

The Daily Herald hosted a live event last year with good success and had planned to host two regional Puzzle challenges in 2020.

Since hosting the event in person was not an option this year, the St. Charles Park District hosted both of these event virtual with great community response.

This event was a great opportunity for families to do something new.

For the St. Charles Park District puzzle challenge, there were 15 teams competing by putting together a beautiful 500-piece puzzle featuring the scenic Fox River.

The winning team, Purple Haze, finished their puzzle in 61 minutes, with second place, 2 Plus 2 finishing in 98 minutes and third place, Jigsaw Maniacs, at 107 minutes.

Proceed from this event went to benefit St. Charles Park Foundation.

The foundation's mission is to enhance the recreational, educational and cultural life of the St. Charles community by encouraging and soliciting support for the St. Charles Park District.
