Elgin Chamber's Community Thanksgiving lunch celebrates 5 'unsung heroes' Nov. 24

Thanksgiving is an ideal occasion to join to give thanks for our bountiful blessings. One of the longstanding traditions in the community is the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon where attendees reach out in gratitude and friendship.

The chamber invites you and your colleagues to join them virtually on Tuesday, Nov. 24, for its 40th annual luncheon to reaffirm our combined commitment to family, neighbors, and community.

The program will weave “thanks” and “giving” through storytelling. Start off the holiday season through this longstanding tradition.

The chamber also will sing the praises of five unsung heroes in the community.

These special volunteers are the very fabric of the community, providing guidance and leadership to organizations in Elgin and South Elgin. Local service clubs and non-profit organizations will also be recognized at this non-denominational luncheon as they provide critical programs and services to our neighbors.

Award-winning volunteers, who were nominated by local non-profit agencies, will be recognized for their achievements by the group's Enhancing Elgin committee.

The Community Thanksgiving Luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. on www.facebook.com/elginareachamber.

Order your sandwich from any of the chamber's over restaurant members and join them online to celebrate! A list of restaurants is available at www.elginchamber.com.
