H.R. Stewart Inc. celebrates its 90th anniversary
H.R. Stewart Inc. announces the celebration of its 90th anniversary in 2020. The Cary-based institution was started in 1930 and continues to thrive as McHenry and Lake counties premier provider of plumbing, heating & air conditioning, custom sheet metal and heavy sewer cleaning.
Under the leadership of Jim Stewart, H.R. Stewart's main location is the same landmark location at 52 W. Crystal St. (Northwest Highway) in the heart of Cary. Jim is the third generation to head the business, taking over as President in 2000. Founded by Jim's grandfather, Howard Stewart, Jim took over the plumbing and heating part of his father's hardware business. Jim's father, Allan, took over in 1968.

As a landmark location in the Cary-Grove area, H.R. Stewart has always been involved in the community they call home. Howard Stewart served as the 17th Mayor of Cary. They sponsor community events such as Cary Main Street Fest and the Merry Cary parade. They will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2020 Merry Cary Parade-Turned Around.
