College of DuPage police offer free courses on crisis situations, cyber crimes

Learn best practices for crisis management, fraud and identity theft through two virtual courses offered in November by the College of DuPage Police Department.

Courses are free and held through Zoom. Registration is required.

"Stop the Bleed" will provide an overview of best practices in emergency situations where uncontrollable bleeding occurs from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 12.

"Save Your Stash" explores current fraud schemes and highlights methods to protect personal identity presented from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.

"Even though we are in the middle of a pandemic, crisis situations continue to occur," said COD Police Chief Joe Mullin. "It is important to provide ongoing education on how to deal with these situations so when they occur, people have the skills to respond."
