Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation creates new fall fundraisers

With the necessary cancellation of the annual Fall Craft & Vendor Show, the women of the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation are getting creative in their fundraising efforts.

The first event was a "Bunco at Home" kit.

Participants purchased a kit containing various goodies and all of the material needed for a group of four to play bunco with their own personal circle.

The grand raffle prize of a bracelet making party for five was generously donated by Karen Hollis of K. Hollis Jewelers.

Prizes for other categories were donated by a variety of local merchants, including a generous donation for each category from Urban Style Salon. This event was enjoyed by many and raised over $2,000!

The second event was a "You've Been Boo'd" campaign where families and neighbors ordered Halloween treats to be delivered to their friends and loved ones.

There was also an option for a costumed cast to spread Halloween themed eggs in the yard for a "Monster Hunt." This event raised almost $800.

The funds from these events will allow the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation to provide 35 children with Christmas gifts through the Batavia United Way's Christmas Families Program.

The foundation thanks our participants for their ongoing support!
