Lindenhurst Police Department receives Kiwanis 'Shining Star Award'

For the past several years, the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst/the Lakes has presented the "Shining Star Award" to a member of the Lindenhurst Police Department.

This award is given to the officer who best exemplifies the Kiwanis' mission of "serving the children of the world" and shares the club's passion for providing a positive impact on the community.

This year, the Shining Star Award was given to the entire Lindenhurst Police Department as a group. The Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst/the Lakes is proud to honor this force for their determination, support, and dedication during these difficult times.

Commander Eric Seneca accepted the award on behalf of the entire department from club Treasurer Phil Rovang at the club's annual luncheon.

The Village at Victory Lakes provided lunch for all.
