Hanover Township awards mental health funding

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $3,500 in staff development funding to two entities during a virtual meeting last month.

Heritage Elementary School in Streamwood was awarded $500 to train faculty and staff in a curriculum that assists children who have experienced trauma and abuse.

Community Alternatives Unlimited, a case management agency for people with developmental disabilities, was awarded $3,000 to attend a training that supports the agency's work with residents with autism as well as training for staff compliance with state laws.
