Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents Spooky Glen Ellyn - A Halloween Driving Tour Oct. 17

Looking for some safe but spooky Halloween fun?

On Saturday, Oct. 17, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society is offering a driving tour of Glen Ellyn that includes some of the village's hidden history and creepiest sites.

Load the family in the car and begin the tour behind Stacy's Tavern Museum, 557 Geneva Road, anytime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The tour includes a map, a link to a video that provides stories behind a dozen of Glen Ellyn's unique spots that include locations past and present that are thought to be haunted, a site of a murder where the victim is still buried, historic fires, the tragic death of a young bride, and some other fascinating stories.

Costumes are welcome as are pajamas.

There will be a treat bag for the young and young at heart to enjoy in the car.

This is a free event but donations are appreciated.

The tour will last about one hour and take in all the sites.
