Saint Viator Student Earns Perfect Score on ACT

Michael Schumacher, a junior at Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, received a perfect score on his ACT admissions test this past summer. The high school junior returned to in-person classes at Saint Viator this month for the 2020-2021 school year.

"We couldn't be prouder of Michael," said Stephanie Spiewak, the school's Counseling Department Chair. "Saint Viator is a college-preparatory school with a rigorous academic program. We demand a lot of our students to prepare them for success in the future and scoring a 36 on the ACT is quite a success."

Schumacher is a Deer Park resident. He is a member of the Querbes Scholar Program at Saint Viator and participates in the Track and Cross-Country teams at the school.

Roughly 0.1% of all ACT test-takers earn a perfect score on the exam. This marks the third year in a row that a Saint Viator student has achieved this incredible academic accomplishment.
