Fabyan will have intermittent closures Aug. 18-19 for trail repaving

Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva will have intermittent trail closures, Tuesday, Aug. 18 through Wednesday, Aug. 19, for trail repaving.

The repaving is part of the Fabyan West pedestrian bridge and causeway project.

Repairs will be along the river on the west side, beginning at the boat launch area and will continue north, where the causeway was removed.

While Fabyan Forest Preserve will remain open, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County asks trail users to use caution when traveling past trucks and equipment on the trail.

Signs will be posted at both ends of the project, to alert trail users.
