Lavelle Law to host free virtual seminar on estate taxes

The Estate Planning and Administration attorneys at Lavelle Law will host a virtual seminar on estate planning strategies to help individuals potentially avoid estate taxes. This free seminar takes place on Wednesday, July 29, at 8:30 a.m. It is part of the Schaumburg-based law firm's bi-monthly Breakfast Briefs series, which covers a variety of business and personal legal topics.

In addition to federal estate taxes, Illinois residents are subject to state-level estate, gift and inheritance taxes. However, there are strategies available, including gifting strategies, irrevocable trusts and insurance planning, that can help avoid burdening family members with these taxes in the future.

During this seminar, Lavelle Law attorneys Heather Walser, Brian Warens and Ryan Gardner will explore tactics to mitigate estate taxes and ensure assets left to family members are protected from unnecessary taxes.

“Often, people don't like to think about estate planning, but they also don't want to pay taxes that aren't necessary,” said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. “It's essential for individuals to take the appropriate steps now, so their assets are protected for future generations.”

"Avoid Taxes with Estate Planning" will take place on July 29 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Registration is required. To learn more or register, visit bit.ly/2DWJNJv.

This live webinar will be interactive and includes a Q&A session. If you would like to submit questions ahead of time, they can be sent to webinar@lavellelaw.com.
