Meridian Completes Construction on Bartlett Build to Suit

Bartlett, IL, July 14, 2020 - Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on a 100,560 SF build-to-suit on a 6.79 acre site within Abbott Land & Investment's Blue Heron Business Park in Bartlett, IL.

The new building is the Headquarters for the Americas for Cathay Industries and serves as a major distribution hub for the Midwestern region of the US for the company. Cathay Industries is one of the world's largest manufacturers of iron oxide pigments with locations in the US, China, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

The 30' clear building features 8 loading docks, 2 drive in doors, 70 auto parking spaces and 4,000 SF of corporate office space. The building is the 4th facility to be constructed within Blue Heron Business Park. Additional development sites, including several sites zoned to accommodate outside storage, are available for sale or lease.

Meridian completed the project on a design/build basis with Harris Architects providing architectural and structural design services and Mackie Consultants handling the civil engineering design.
