Palatine Jaycees Host Free Scavenger Hunt Now Through July 17

The Palatine Jaycees are working to help stimulate the local economy through a Scavenger Hunt which runs now through Friday, July 17, 2020. This event was created in response to the pandemic and is designed as a way to draw area residents to participating businesses to increase exposure and foot traffic. Participation is free and those who take part can win prizes, including gift cards and other items and offers donated by businesses.

Those who want to join the Scavenger Hunt will need to **download the "ActionBound" app on their smartphones (App Store on IPhone, Google Play Store on Android; see further instructions at the bottom of the page). Participants will use the app to scan QR codes and get instructions at each participating business. Points are earned by visiting, learning about, and completing simple tasks at each location. Purchases are not required to earn points, but individuals are encouraged to support the businesses they visit if possible.

Participants must be at least 21 years of age. Palatine Jaycees members/associates, along with business owners and their families are not eligible to win but are encouraged to partake in this event.

For additional information and Scavenger Hunt rules, please visit palatinejaycees.org. For questions, please email info@palatinejaycees.org.

**Once the app is downloaded, open it and select "Find a Bound". In the search bar, type "Palatine Jaycees". After that, select the page at the top of the screen. On that page, click the button that says "Start Bound" and you'll be all set.
