Gene and Margaret Ritchie celebrate 70th wedding anniversary
Gene and Margaret Ritchie of St. Charles are celebrating 70 years of marriage on July 15, 2020.
Gene and Margaret met in California in 1949 and were married July 15, 1950. They moved to St. Charles in 1952 and lived for a time with Margaret's parents on 12th Street.
While enjoying life in St. Charles they raised seven kids: Blake, Lee, Mark, Melissa, John, Tom, and Amy before moving to Elburn in 1978.
They lived the country life on Beith Road for many years before taking an apartment on Pierce Street in town. They currently reside in Batavia.
A celebration will be held at a later time due to the current conditions.
