Cary United Methodist Church welcomes new pastor

Cary United Methodist Church welcomes the Rev. Gary Waters, his wife, Amy, and their two adult children Winona and Calvin.

Rev. Waters will serve as the new senior pastor leading his first service on Sunday, July 7, at 9 a.m. He has served as pastor in various United Methodist churches since 1990.

His hope and dream for his ministry and with everyone he meets is that they will become partners in doing the essential work of God in Creation.

Pastor Gary has said, "The purpose of my life with God is threefold: 1.) to introduce people to the grace of God in Jesus Christ, 2.) to lead people to a life of faithful discipleship and 3.) to relieve suffering."

Cary United Methodist Church, 500 First St., invites community members to worship with them as they grow through Pastor Gary's leadership and live the motto "Open Minds, Open Hearts, and Open Doors". Regular worship is 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sundays. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month.
