Schaumburg parks open dog park, tennis courts

The Schaumburg Park District has announced updates to its operations in conjunction with the state moving into Phase 3 of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's Restore Illinois plan.

Summer day camps scheduled to start in June are canceled. If health regulations allow, a general day camp option may start at the end of June.

Most park district facilities, including fitness centers, will remain closed in Phase 3. The dog park opened Friday, as did Schaumburg Tennis Plus, but for tennis members only. Schaumburg Golf Club remains open.

All pools remain closed and refunds will be issued to anyone who previously purchased a pass.

Trails remain open for walkers, but all playgrounds, fitness areas and the skate park are temporarily closed. Gatherings of over 10 people are not allowed.
