Aurora barbecue fundraiser to benefit food pantries

Reuland Food Service, 115 Oak Ave. in Aurora, will hold a drive-thru barbecue fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, to benefit two Aurora food pantries.

The public is invited. According to a press release, 10 percent of proceeds will benefit Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry and Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry.

Advance orders are requested by Friday, May 29. To order, or for more information, call (630) 859-2877.

An adult dinner and kids' meal will be offered. The adult dinner, $12, includes two six-ounce grilled pork chops or grilled half chicken with baked beans, corn, dinner roll and butter. The kids' meal, $5, includes a hot dog, potato chips and cookie.

The release said, "Thank you to the local community for your tremendous support. And (thank you) to Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry and Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry for all you do for those in need."
