Highland Ave. water tank rehabilitation project begins in Lombard

Beginning in April, Lombard Public Works will conduct a rehabilitation project on the water tank located behind Fire Station #44 at 2020 S. Highland Ave.

The project includes safety modifications, addition of a tank mixing system to improve Lombard's already excellent water quality, as well as the interior and exterior painting of the tank. The project is scheduled to begin in April and be completed late May 2020, weather permitting.

The Village of Lombard's water treatment and wastewater pumping division will be monitoring the water system while the tank is out of service for the project. The village does not anticipate any interruption of water service during the project and no water quality issues are anticipated. Contractors and pieces of equipment will be on-site for the duration of the project.

If you have questions regarding this project, please contact Brian Jack, Utilities Superintendent at the Village of Lombard Public Works Department at (630) 620-5740 or at jackb@villageoflombard.org.

During nonworking hours, contact the Police Department nonemergency number at (630) 873-4400 and an on-call supervisor will be contacted.
