Stay at home, shop local and support your Fox Valley town

As part of the IL-oveLocal initiative April 11-18, chambers of commerce across the Fox Valley are encouraging residents to support independent local businesses.

"We want and need our local businesses to survive this shutdown and we are working tirelessly every day to help see them through this pandemic," said Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. "Our local businesses don't just happen to fall in the 60510 ZIP code; they are an integral part - the heart and soul - of the Batavia community. They employ many of our area residents and are active participants in events and charities. Additionally, people from our local and neighboring communities come to Batavia for the unique products and services they provide"

Each dollar spent at a local, independent business returns 50 times more money to the local economy than shopping at a mega e-retailer.

The chamber of commerce websites feature listings of the local small businesses that need your support, including retail, restaurants and services. Or check out the chamber Facebook pages for special offerings from their member businesses.
