St. Emily School to support Buona Beef with 'Share and Show You Care' April 7

Throughout the year, Saint Emily Catholic School has done monthly "Dine and Shares" with an assortment of Mount Prospect restaurants. The funds benefit the school in a variety of ways and have always been successfully supported by families inside and outside the Saint Emily community.

With the new wave of events that have come over the past month, the Saint Emily FSA saw a very generous restaurant community get flipped upside down with the new social distancing restrictions placed on them. Suddenly, staples in the community were left with a fraction of customers and significantly reduced hours for the employees.

Saint Emily saw this as a chance to show their appreciation, by reciprocating the kind actions. On Tuesday, April 7, the Saint Emily Community will support Buona Beef, 801 E. Rand Road, with an event called "Share and Show You Care."

In place of the "Dine and Share" that was scheduled to occur on this date. Saint Emily families will drive through, or pick up preorders with no expectation of fundraising results. Rather, they will support Buona Beef and their employees in their time of need.

"We ultimately hope that this will trigger all of the schools in Mount Prospect that have benefited from "Dine and Shares," to publicly support different restaurants that has helped them throughout the school year!" says Amanda Rosa, a parent and member of Saint Emily FSA.

This is just another example of the community making a positive change in a crazy time. Saint Emily hopes to continue this through the duration of the "Stay at Home" order.
