'Totally Rad Bunco' rolls in the dough for charity

On Saturday, Feb. 29, a full-house of participants pulled out the crimpers and blue eye shadow for the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation's 1980s themed bunco event, "Totally Rad Bunco."

Volunteers and many attendees dressed in neon colors, big hair, pumps, and legwarmers, listened to tunes from the decade, and snacked on refreshments from Bocaditos, Oak & Swine, and Riverside Pizza & Pub-Batavia.

Sweet tooths were tamed by flashback snacks like candy necklaces and ring pops along with desserts provided by generous club auxiliary members.

Raffles and mini games accompanied the main event, Bunco, as well. The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation would like to thank all of our donors, participants, and sponsors, especially Apollo Investment, A.R. Bohr Roofing, LLC, and Orange Theory Fitness, without whom these events could not take place.

The money raised from this event (almost $4,000), as well as all of the club's events, are disbursed in May to local charities and educational organizations serving women, children, and families.

Club members had a wonderful time at this year's Bunco, and they invite you to join them next year.
