Schaumburg Township has begun a new monthly art workshop facilitated by a talented volunteer.

Kristi, a skilled artist, will introduce art concepts to help participants relax and get creative. No fine arts skills are required.

The session from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, will focus on sponge art at township hall, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates. There is a $7 fee to cover the cost of materials.

Kristi will lead participants step-by-step through each monthly project. Seating is limited and registration is required by calling (847) 285-4541.

Future sessions will be on acrylic art April 8, tape art May 13, and finger painting for adults June 10. Every session starts at the same time and has the same cost.

Payment is due at registration.
