Geneva Garden Club hosts 'Spring Fling' luncheon April 28

On Tuesday, April 28, the Geneva Garden Club will be hosting its fourth annual luncheon fundraiser "A Spring Fling" from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Riverside Banquets, 35 N. River Lane, Geneva.

This year's luncheon will feature a series of raffles including purse and wine raffles and a silent auction. There will be many opportunities to win amazing prizes.

The luncheon also will feature a fashion show showcasing clothing from local shops and a floral demonstration by Debra Phillips of Sentimental Gardens, a retail shop in Geneva for over 30 years specializing in garden design, landscaping, home décor, interior design, garden accessories and unique antiques.

The lunch includes a choice of butternut squash ravioli or sun-dried tomato chicken with cream sauce, and the popular dessert table.

Tickets are $45 and may be purchased online by visiting www.genevagardenclub.com.

Tickets are on sale now through Tuesday, April 14 or until sold out. This event sold out quickly last year so don't delay.

The Geneva Garden Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month, September through May from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meetings take place at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road, Geneva. On April 7, the topic will be "Spring Container Ideas." During the summer months, members of the Geneva Garden Club enjoy spending Tuesday afternoons visiting in each other's gardens. It's a great way to relax, strengthen friendships, share recipes, and get great gardening ideas.
