Weil Foot & Ankle Institute Podiatrists Win Top Honors

Podiatrists at Weil Foot & Ankle Institute, headquartered in Mount Prospect, IL recently won top honors at this year's American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons' 78th Annual Scientific Conference in San Antonio, TX placing 1st place out of 74 national submissions.

This is the 4th consecutive year that the Weil team has achieved top honors in the manuscript competition. The award-winning manuscript entitled, "Comparison of Combination Weil Metatarsal Osteotomy and Direct Plantar Plate Repair versus Weil Metatarsal Osteotomy Alone for Forefoot Metatarsalgia? Helps to answer the question, "When should we surgically address the injured plantar plate?" and is available online at http://ow.ly/KPwO50yuXgk

Presented by Dr. Tim McConn, immediate past fellow of the Weil Foot, Ankle and Orthopedic Advanced Surgical Fellowship, the winning manuscript was authored by Drs. Adam Fleischer, Erin Klein, Michael Bowen, Matthew Sorensen and Lowell Weil, Jr.
